I'm a year old postcrosser!

One year ago (July 1, 2012), I was curious about the new addiction of my friend Lady Lakwatsera about postcards and she encouraged me to register in the www.postcrossing.com (Postcrossing Project). And of course, I decided to try it out. I signed up and sent a card to Netherlands and Finland, a month later I received my first ever postcard from Finland. That's the fun part, getting cards from such random places.

Cute dog! =)
My First Postcard from Finland! A cute dog!

This may seem like an old fashioned way of communicating but It's a fun hobby. It takes very little effort, very little cost, and much patience. But it's worth to wait.  I hope a number of my readers might be interested in joining this site and sending out postcards across the World.

After a year of being a post-crosser I already collected at least 39 postcards, not bad right? Looking forward to send and receive more this year.

Sending a postcard will only cost you around  Php 4-12 (postcard) and Php 14.00 (postage fee).

Happy Postcrossing!

Photobook Philippines

Finally, I got a chance to avail my Photobook voucher purchased from ensogo.
I did the layout using the Photobook designer that can be downloaded thru http://www.photobookphilippines.com/get-started.
I got the 8.5x11 inch, 40 pages Imagewrap for only Php 900 from ensogo (which was originally priced Php 4,000) and paid only Php 300 for the shipping fee using a Paypal account or credit card (Paypal Account is much safer).
I waited for only 4 working days for the processing and shipping. Very Efficient and hassle free transaction.
I am so impressed with the DHL tracking system:
My package came from Malaysia. I was very excited when my Mom told me that my package already arrived. And it proves that the DHL tracking system is very prompt.

The pictures were printed in high-resolution and the materials were in good quality.
By the way, I can’t share the inside photos coz’ it’s for my hubby’s eyes only. =)
I still have one voucher for my wedding photos (for the back up pictures).

Wellmanson

I first heard about Wellmanson's from w@w sisters who were also doing their D-I-Y cords. I was one of the BRIDE-TO-BEs  who loves to diy details for my wedding.

Wellmanson is a perfect place for crafty persons!

Last 2011, my friend and I went there for the first time, I was really amazed with the bead items, accessories, souvenirs, school supplies and every "abubots"  that you can find there.  The supplies are well organized and there are sales ladies in every corner of the shelves.

Rows of beads, trinkets and eyelets

     Alphabet Pendants

   Colorful beads

trinkets, stoppers, eye pins, loop etc.

The beads were sold at a very cheap price. It cost for about Php 10- 50 per pack depending on the type of beads you want. I bought pliers, bead organizer and everything that I needed for my project.

For just less than 500Php I was able to make a simple yet beautiful cord.

our wedding cord

Fast forward to 2012, My wedding is over and I have  new projects to make, two of my friends are getting married also and I insist to make their wedding cord. I went at Wellamanson for the second time with my friends, and as usual I am very excited to shop for the materials.

There are really great finds at Wellmanson, aside from bead items, you can also find accessories, and stuffs  perfect for souvenirs and gifts for your loved ones

 Accessory holders

 School supplies

 Bag Holders

 Kokeshi Dolls

Korean Dolls

Wellamanson is located at Villalobos St., Quiapo, Manila (at the back of Quiapo Church), and Tabora St. in Divisoria.
